Y Conference 2025
Y is a Christian conference for young people aged 18 to those in their 30s, run on the King’s Birthday long weekend at Mount Tamborine. As a part of the Queensland Christian Convention Association (QCCA), Y is led by a volunteer group of committed
Christians from various churches across South-East Queensland. The purpose is for young people to hear the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ from the scriptures and build community with Christians across Queensland.
For Y 2025, the main speaker is Rory Shiner. Rory is the Senior Pastor of Providence City Church in Perth and is the Chair of The Gospel Coalition Australia Council. The theme centres around being “One with Christ”. Union with Christ is the powerhouse of the New Testament and is the most powerful expression of how Jesus has saved us, given us a new identity and a new hope. Alongside the main speaker, Y runs elective topics over the weekend, touching on in-depth and relevant topics to our young adult Christians.
There are numerous attendance options for all needs, with whole weekend or day passes and options to stay on site in cabins or camping, or to stay off-site. Prices for Y range. The standard registration for the entire weekend with accommodation and meals is $275; prices for other Y registration options decrease from there.

Guess Who's Coming to Lunch
Get to know more of your Shore Hope Church family. It's easy...
Mark the 24th of August in your calendar that you're having lunch after church
Decide if you want to host lunch (provide a venue and coordinate who brings what), or if you want to attend.
Sign up before the 17th of August putting your name on the sign up sheet at church or by emailing info@shorehope.church. Indicate (a) how many people are coming, (b) whether you want to attend or host, and (c) any food allergies people will need to know about
On the 17th we'll let the hosts know who's coming, and they'll get in contact with their address and guidance with what to bring.
And if you can't make lunch on the 24th...suggest a different time! There might be another person interested in a midweek or Sunday night dinner. You never know... 🙂

CMS reEncounter
CMS’ New Young Adults Mission Night | 5.30pm, 23 August
St Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Spring Hill
God is powerfully at work around the world. However, sometimes mission can feel distant and disconnected from our lives. The passion, excitement, and joy of seeing God at work is something that all Christians should have the opportunity to share – mission shouldn’t feel distant and disconnected!
reEncounter is a one-night opportunity for all young adults (18-early 30’s) to experience the highs and lows of mission for themselves. Over a meal, you’ll have the chance to hear from & chat with CMS missionaries from around the world, and experience with them the power of God at work through stories from their country with other young adults around Brisbane!
For the info, see https://cms.org.au/event/reencounter-2025/

GROW Women's Conference
The GROW Women's Conference is on again this year on Saturday 2 August. The theme for this year is Enduring Faith.
The Christian life is a marathon. There are many dangers and hardships along the way. Holiness takes discipline and perseverance. How do we not grow weary? Do we know how richly God provides for us, now and always? Can we be confident of our place in His unshakeable kingdom? Come to GROW 2025 and together fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith.
